Aşkım Güler (Kim)
Turkish born artist Aşkım
Güler, known as Kim to her friends, gained a wealth of life experience while
travelling and living around the world. Kim now resides and creates her
extraordinary artwork at her studio, in Izmir.
In 1966 Kim and her family
moved to Germany. It was there she studied photography and qualified as a
photographer.
1988 she moved to London,
England where she excelled at a private school gaining as a dancer. While
living in London she support herself as a traditional Turkish dancer with a
Phyton at London's famous Hippodrome Club. She danced for Prince, Eddie Murphy and Kim Wilde.
1990 she won a beauty contest and became the 2nd Miss Europe, after that she worked as a model in Turkey.
Kim creates vibrant abstract
Originals by using the differing characteristics of various pigments against
one another. These colourful energising and highly textured Originals
were partly inspired by nature. Kim's artistic streak was born when collecting fallen
leaves, prompting a fascination with their biological form and skeleton like
construction. She would then paint and mould them in beautiful jewellery.
Kim is fluent in Turkish,
German and English language.
Kim undertakes a wide variety
of commissions in private collections across Europe
Kim has been extremely
creative in all her art forms and has regained strength to continue with her
unique way, following a serious brain injury she now finds peace in her art it
helped her to live again.
